Ceredigion Welsh Pony and Cob Association

2007 STUD VISIT

The Autumn 2007 season began with a stud visit on Sunday 2nd September to Popsters and Parvadean stud in the Forest of Dean, where we were treated to a display of the stud's Section A and C ponies in hand and under saddle. Later we travelled to Donys Welsh Cob Stud perched high above Sennybridge. Our thanks to those energetic young handlers for running some great moving cobs uphill, and to both the Davis and Kirk families for their hospitality.

This lovely pony amazingly survived when she was tragically struck by lightning, but is semi-paralized on the off side - hence the asymetrical head.

The sun comes out again.
Members relax at the end of a most enjoyable day,and tuck into yet more food and drink - the scones with jam and freshly whipped cream were especially memorable!

But who is the gentleman from the mafia?

We would like to extend our thanks to the Powell and Williams families for their generous hospitality, and for letting us see their lovely ponies.
A wonderful day was had by all!
